MATRIX UI
MATRIX (Materials and Technology Renewable Innovation and eXcellence) is an annual student-led event on materials and renewable energy technologies that brings together young researchers, engineers, and social scientists from across Indonesia under the auspices of NAMS FTUI.
MATRIX presents a series of academic and professional activities, including the Essay Competition, Case Study Competition, Essay Training, and Company Visit, to nurture future-ready leaders who can develop sustainable solutions and strengthen resilience in the energy transition.

Competition
MATRIX Competitions
A writing competition where participants critically analyze issues related to renewable energy and resilient communities, and propose well-argued solutions based on scientific or socio-political perspectives.
Participant Requirements
- This competition is open exclusively to high school students (or equivalent) from high schools across Indonesia.
- Each team must consist of a maximum of 3 (three) members, one of them must be designated as the Team Leader. Team members must be from the same school.
- Each individual is permitted to represent only one team.
- Once a team is officially registered, team members cannot be replaced or changed for any reason during the competition period.

Registration Information
Choose your registration type and complete all required documents.
Casual Registration
Essay participants may register before abstract submission. The maximum delay for abstract submission is 5 hours, with a deduction of 2 points for every 5 minutes. Teams that fail to submit their abstract within 5 hours of the submission deadline will be eliminated, and the registration fee will not be refunded. Deadline: 15 September 2026.
